This is a letter of support for The Schreiber Research Group (TSRG). The San Luis Valley Area Health Education Center has had the pleasure of working with TSRG for the last year in a collaborative effort to assess the needs of Conejos County regarding substance use and abuse.
I am writing this letter to express Otero County Health Department’s (OCHD) full support of the Terri Schreiber Research Group’s (TSRG) for Colorado Gives dollars. OCHD has been privileged to partner with TSRG and Pueblo County Public Health on a one-year HRSA planning grant to reduce opioid misuse and overdoses locally. TSRG was the backbone of this grant as they produced a Community Needs Assessment and Gaps Analysis specific to Otero and Crowley Counties. .
It was a simple introduction between two colleagues over a Microsoft Alumni meeting. My offer to help with Technology Consulting led to a more fruitful two-way engagement. In fact, in the end, we got more help in return than what we offered by helping TSRG. TSRG helped us help them. SpringTransits helps women find confidence in themselves to come back to the workforce.
