The risks of taking benzodiazepines for more than 2 -4 weeks are finally getting attention in the press and through various new published articles. TSRG is working with the Alliance for Benzodiazepine Best Practices (Dr. Alexis Ritvo and Bernie Silvernail), the Benzodiazepine Information Coalition (Dr. Christy Huff and Nicole Lamberson), Choices Recovery Training (Ginger Ross), the Colorado Consortium for Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention’s Benzodiazepine Action Work Group, Easing Anxiety (D Foster) and Parent and Peer Recovery (Trina Faatz) to bring attention to this issue. Please see the recent articles in Psychology Today and the Gazette highlighting the risks. TSRG will share new content as it is published and developed.
